Dear Sirs, in http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/bsd/2001/01/25/Big_Scary_Daemons.html , the link to FreeBSD porters handbook ( http://www.freebsd.org/porters-handbook/ ) is broken. http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/porters-handbook/index.html still works.
