Got it, thanks.  I know that Linux also has a driver for the
FD16xx series, so I'll probably be taking a look at that too.
I'm not too keen on paying a company for tech specs on their
equipment, and I assume there would be an NDA involved
anyways...

Thanks for the tips.  If I get anything that works, I'll keep you
all posted.
