The Cosource project was announced both on this list and on Daemon News when
it was started.  Where else does one go to reach people interested in Java on 
FreeBSD?  I encouraged the FreeBSD Java team to put an announcement on 
the FreeBSD Java homepage, and otherwise publicize this opportunity, but
this hasn't happened.
