	I too have found this frustrating when dealing with a problem/tricky 
install, e.g. an ibm thinkpad.  The EHS was a long-term shell. How about 
an option for a short-term EHS before the chroot?  You could even require 
that sysinstall refuse to continue until the shell has exited.
