But, I upgraded the system from 3.4r to 4.0 recently. I do the same things: 1. modify kernel: device pcm0 irq 10 ...... (I deleted the "controller pnp0", because it is osbelete) then config -r KERNEL, make depend all install OK!! reboot 2. /dev ./MAKEDEV snd0 It can not work yet.
