  Not quite. Have a look at the 'CDROM boot' section at

http://people.freebsd.org/~grehan/install.html

  You should get a copy of the latest loader, which I've just
put up at

http://people.freebsd.org/~grehan/loader

  .. and also the last syscons-enabled kernel:
