I've just upgraded to 4.6.1(RC2?) from cvs with sources from yesterday. I reran keyinit and attempted to ssh to localhost to test skey. I was presented with the following: s/key 93 ww09083 Password: Permission denied, please try again. s/key 92 ww09083 As soon as I enter a valid password, the key decrements and I'm denied access. If I enter an invalid password, I'm denied access and the key does NOT decrement. This happens regardless of whether there is an rsa identity file in ~/.ssh or not. I have a recollection of being able to hit enter and have the password echo, but that may have been for telnet. It's not happening in ssh either way and may not be a bug. I ran mergemaster and installed the new sshd and ssh configs in /etc/ssh. Does anyone have any suggestions? -Stephen To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
