Thank you for your bug report. This issue has been fixed by the change in
r316477, and is expected to be merged to the stable branches soon, in time for
the next release.

As there are multiple PRs open for related issues I will close this one, and
use PR 195763 as the primary one for tracking the remaining merges and such.
