Dosemu once used to build under NetBSD; I'm not sure that it still does 
(last time I spoke with John Kohl I got the impression that making it 
work was a once-off thing).

The hardware is unlikely to work correctly under emulation anyway.  I 
think I'm reasonably familiar with the hardware in question, and you 
would do well to just give up now and get a real backup device.
