I'm writing an audio driver for ESS Maestro2/2E sound chip.
I've been able to hear CD's with the AC'97 and Maestro2 drivers,
but still have trouble with legacy DMA (Distributed DMA). :-(
I'll send you the AC'97 driver in private mail.
