I removed a sound card that was physically installed but wasn't being used. It didn't even show up in my dmesg. Anyway, after the removal, everything worked fine. So apparently it was either an interrupt conflict or a address conflict as many (if not all) of you pointed out. Thank you to all who helped me with this issue. I really appreciate it!!! Drew P.S.
