"The Complete FreeBSD" is a book that is now in its Third Edition. It
costs money. And as far as I know, it does *not* have a 'soft copy' on
the included CDs. Those CDs are a release (?3.2) of FreeBSD.

What those CDs *do* have on board is a bucket load of documentation
including the "FreeBSD Handbook" - which is also essential reading.

I urge you, if you are serious about using FreeBSD, to buy "The Complete
FreeBSD". I also urge you to read the "FreeBSD Handbook". These two
documents will cover over 90% of your questions about FreeBSD. The other
10% you can get answered here :')

hth,
