On a FreeBSD 3.2 machine that I help some folks administer, the /etc/master.passwd file has started issuing short encrypted passwords instead of the long 30+ character ones. It behaves OK except when an e-mail client like Eudora or Netscpae try to authenticate, How do I return the machine to producing the long encryption? Thanks.
