Thanks Jan for updating Mesa. I'll see if that helps. The effects were quite
odd (mouse  didn't function sometimes, scrolling broken, switching windows
caused hangs) and it took me a while to rule things out (tried a different
mouse, tried the same advice on other computer, tracked down it was related=
 to
gnome, and not x11, sorting out trying latest drm-kmod, etc).
