Hello, Does pkg's geo-dns not like Quand9's DNS? The download speed is capped under 65KB/s and the reason for my question is that this has happened a few times in the past to other users. https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/pkg-is-hella-slow-not-internet-speed.84882/ https://github.com/freebsd/pkg/issues/2037 https://www.reddit.com/r/freebsd/comments/1707oi8/help_pkg_is_slow_packages_are_downloading_in_50kbs/ ... As for this notice "IMPORTANT: We do NOT guarantee uptime of any particular mirror. We provide SRV fallbacks for redundancy." The SRV doesn't seem to do anything, at least in my case. Some technical info: uname -a: FreeBSD 14.3-RELEASE FreeBSD 14.3-RELEASE releng/14.3-n271432-8c9ce319fef7 GENERIC amd64 pkg --version: 2.2.1 cat /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/FreeBSD.conf FreeBSD: { url: "https://pkg.freebsd.org/${ABI}/latest", enabled: true, signature_type: "fingerprints", fingerprints: "/usr/share/keys/pkg", mirror_type: "srv" } drill pkg.freebsd.org ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, rcode: NOERROR, id: 20313 ;; flags: qr rd ra ; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 2, AUTHORITY: 0, ADDITIONAL: 0 ;; QUESTION SECTION: ;; pkg.freebsd.org.
