I am having a similar problem with base being installed by installer right =
onto
the "pool" name ("root", not on root/some/other dataset) after choosing to =
make
partitions myself. This was with 14-CURRENT (for Framework laptop) snapshot=
 of
Mar 3, 2022.

Should I make a new PR for the case of "bectl' not able to handle the case =
of
base installed right on the pool name?
