I'll commit age(4) if I mange to fix one remaining issue which is
not possible to reproduce at aill on my box. I'm working with a
user who has this issue.

Yes, it's Agere(now LSI) ET-131x gigabit ethernt controller. If I
have that hardware I may have ported it. Since the author of et(4)
is also FreeBSD committer I guess he'll port it to FreeBSD.
Sepherosa, do you have any plan to port?
