My, I forgot about that patch.  It is working so far right now (I've
managed to bring the swap usage to levels which would trigger the bug
before, and nothing has happened yet)

Thank you very much for that patch, please consider this a premature
positive response :)

I haven't had any negative side-effects as a result of this patch, and
it might just be my imagination but it seemed to take much more work to
get the machine to swap than before.
