FreeBSD dumps also restore just fine under HP-UX, I've done so under 10.20 and 11.0. HP-UX restore will automatically do the byte-swapping. FreeBSD and GNU tar will not restore correctly to HP-UX, but dump/restore does work fine. jim -- ET has one helluva sense of humor!
