I installed FreeBSD 4.0 when it was released and have not had any problems until I did a make world yesterday. Everything seemed to install okay, except today when I checked process memory usage, XFree86 4.0 had eaten up over 100mb of memory overnight. I thought this might have something to do with using XFree86 4.0, so I downgraded to version 3.3.6 and still have the same problem (memory is leaking slower, however). I assume that this has something to do with the FreeBSD kernel not deallocating when it is supposed to. Any ideas?
