In my experience the APM emulation doesn't go as far as to enable apmd to run under ACPI. If I try to do so, apmd complains about not finding /dev/apmctl - which is correct as there is only /dev/acpictl. You can try this out by using -d to start apmd in the foreground. I still hope that I'm doing something wrong and would really love it to stay corrected by someone. ;-) Sincerely yours, Hank --jI8keyz6grp/JLjh Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQFAz/6NXSKk5/a79toRAmTIAKDEOYV/UMBO7XgPDHROcLW228pQ9QCgwGa+ s1UqxzzK/c+kpwfuv7Kjo6s= =ZDoW -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --jI8keyz6grp/JLjh--
