Probably it's just an irq problem. When sending ping to another machine packets go out and are replied immediately. But they come in very delayed. Several devices are using the same irq as pcic0 including onboard lan and usb. (btw: in Windows the pccard-controller has a different irq as these other devices) My tries to set an irq for pcic0 are hopeless. Setting it in kernel config doesn't work as pcic0 is for isa there, setting hw.pcic.irq=some_irq in /boot/loader.conf doesn't work either. BIOS does not have an options for irq. How do I set an irq for pcic0 (pci) on 4-stable? Thank you Markus M.
