You can use 'ls | more' - the vertical bar is a pipe - space bar will then step a page at a time & any other key steps a line at a time. 'ls -la | more' gives additional file information. =20 -----Original Message----- From: David Snyder [mailto:dlsnyder2@comcast.net]=20 Sent: 03 June 2004 21:09 To: freebsd-newbies@freebsd.org Subject: page command for "ls" Is there an option for "ls" in FreeBSD that is similar to "dir /w" or=20 "dir /p" in Dos. In large file folders, when I use "ls" I can't see=20 all the files within the folder. -Dave _______________________________________________ freebsd-newbies@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-newbies To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-newbies-unsubscribe@freebsd.org"
