no . But i am under the impression that "twain" is a higher level
API which applies to all sort of hw interfaces (SCSI, dedicated
parallel and serial as in the old hand scanners, etc.) whereas you
need to know how to use the hardware to talk to the scanner.
I suggest that you look first at the parallel port bus code ("ppb" or
so) probably in -current.
