As I asked the list and got very few replies, I thought I'd share my experiences with getting Java3D to run on FreeBSD. Basically I have a system running: FreeBSD 4.4 XFree86 4.1 Linux Java 1.3.1 under emulation. In order to get Java3d to run you need: port drm-kmod port linux_mesa3 port linux_dri then load the linux version of Java3D from Blackdown This set-up will run Java3D but with software rendering which is a bit slow. I am trying to get DRI working but it is resisting hard. Any tips for getting DRI running would be great. cheers Gavin P.s. can you CC me as I am not registered to this list. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
