I'm cc-ing the port maintainer, > perhaps he has some ideas. Simple binary dist from livingston's ftp server. Although I did try the source dist, I walked away from it after a few half-hearted attempts at getting it to compile on FreeBSD-2.2.1. When things quite down a little, maybe I'll see about porting some of my favorite linux/rad-1.16 hacks back in. The main thing I needed was SCP username prefix, but it's built into livingston rad-2.0. They also support suffixes. This radiusd has been rock solid for us. I would at least check that Ascend support in the merit daemon you're using. I seem to remember some trouble with Ascend and Livingston being able to use the same radius server although we've never had Ascends in our network.
