I get really annoyed when people _don't_ CC me because I don't have unlimited time to read mail. I'll read mail which drops into my inbox fairly quickly, but mail on a mailing list which happens to be a reply to one of my posts and directed at me might get missed. If gh doesn't want people to CC him, he should set Mail-Followup-To: the-mailing-lists-he-posted-to@example.com or whatever, in his headers. Any MUA should respect that, though I suspect not many do yet.
