I've disabled the printer port in the bios:
[larse@dum: /home/larse] dmesg | grep ppc
ppc0: parallel port not found.

I have tried to use that card under irq5, which should also be free (my
soundcard is at irq11). However, that causes "ed0: device timeout"
problems. Using irq3 or irq4 (with disabled serial ports) works as irq7
does, with the "ring overrun" messages.
