Without knowing exactly which Intel card, I can't even point you in the right direction. Could you let us know which driver your customer is using for the Intel card? We have: dc(4) DEC/Intel 21143 and clone 10/100 ex(4) Intel EtherExpress i82595 Pro/10 Pro/10+ fxp(4) Intel EtherExpress i82557 / i82559 Pro/10 Pro/100B Pro/100+ wx(4) Intel Gigabit Ethernet > they will promote system with your OS but we are factory we don't know > your OS every Is your customer not willing to send a message directly to <freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.org>? If not, this process is going to be difficult, because the person who helps you (which person depends on which driver is in use) will need you to relay to your customer a list of required data. It would almost certainly be easier for you, your customer and the person helping out if your customer asked for help himself. The sort of information required: The exact make and model of the adapter, ideally including chipset ID and revision number. The output of the FreeBSD uname(8) command, ``uname -a''. The FreeBSD driver in use. The output of the FreeBSD dmesg(8) command. Any messages in /var/log/messages generated by the driver in use. A detailed description of the steps taken to measure the degredation in performance. Ideally, this would take the form of a set of clearly defined steps that could be used to reproduce the problem on another machine. Ciao, Sheldon.
