Let's see if we can get an approximate count of FreeBSD machines out there in the world. I'm going to make up a short 'survey form', and I think if we sift the 'questions' list for addresses we ought to be able to get a first-level approximation of people who are using or have installed FreeBSD. Part of the survey will be for those who are queried to pass it along. Alternatively, we can add a few lines to the online registration form to account for multiple machines at one site. The e-mail, then, can be just a notification that we're asking for registration updates. Then, a running counter on the home page would be a good hook! No more bogus statistics, let's find out! -- oooOOO O O O o * * * * * * o ___ _________ _________ ________ _________ _________ ___==_ V_=_=_DW ===--- Don Wilde [don@PartsNow.com] [http://www.PartsNow.com ] /oo0000oo-oo--oo-ooo---ooo-ooo---ooo-ooo--ooo-ooo---ooo-ooo---ooo-oo--oo To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-advocacy" in the body of the message
