I've got an odd error with mdconfig, a script which has been running on 5.x for months suddenly started giving this error mdconfig -a -t vnode -f /usr/ftp/pub/FreeBSD/5.2-20040211/floppies/kern.flp -u 0 mdconfig: ioctl(/dev/mdctl): No such file or directory But if I do: root@Buildhost:/usr/local/etc/scripts# ls /dev/md* /dev/mdctl So /dev/mdctl is there. Anyone got any bright ideas? It's running: FreeBSD Buildhost.int.epcdirect.co.uk 5.2-CURRENT FreeBSD 5.2-CURRENT #0: Tue Feb 10 21:22:31 GMT 2004 root@Buildhost.int.epcdirect.co.uk:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386 Lawrence Farr EPC Direct Limited
