:By way of clarification, let me just say that being a developer :doesn't mean you're a committer - the set of developers far exceeds :the set of committers. A "developer" is someone who actually groks :source code and understands things like make(1) enough to be :comfortable maintaining and building binaries from their own source :tree. A user is someone who just runs the stuff and doesn't have :much, if any, idea as to how it's all put together. : :- Jordan ... and a "committer" is one of the poor sods who made the mistake of raising his hand when Jordan asked who in the crowd would like a free T-shirt. And a core member is a committer who made the further mistake of stepping up on stage to take Jordan up on an offer of free beer! We'd better hope that MS never catches on! -Matt To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
