I have two PCs one with FreeBSD 2.2.2 the other with Win NT 4.0 Workstation connected together with NE2000 compatable NICs. The ping command for both "host name on own machine" and "localhost" is successful on both machines. Yet, neither returns successful pings when I ping to the other machine. At this point the only suspicion I have as to why they can't communicate is the NT machine uses 32 char. packet and FreeBSD reports 64 char. Any help you can provide would be most appriciated. Thanks, Dan Auman
