I'm re-sending the following message for help. In a nutshell I put the smartmedia card of my digital camera into a pcmcia= =20 adapter which is easily configured both by win xp and linux, while under=20 freebsd 5.4 I cannot see it as a mass storage drive (see below). Any suggestion? Where can I find pieces of documentation about this subject, i.e., configur= ing=20 removable mass storage in pccards? Ciao Vittorio =20 =2D--------- Messaggio inoltrato ---------- Subject: Problems withpcmcia & smartmedia Date: 23:00, gioved=EC 18 agosto 2005 =46rom: vittorio <vdemart1@tin.it> To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org When I insert my pccard (smartmedia adapter pcmcia - hama) freebsd 5.4 doesn't seem to recognize it as a storage device. In fact /var/log/messages says: .................................................................. Aug 18 19:33:03 vittorio kernel: pccard0: Allocation failed for cfe 0 Aug 18 19:33:03 vittorio kernel: ata2: < > at port 0x2050-0x205f irq 11 function 0 config 1 on pccard0 =2E................................................................. The same smartmedia inside the Olympus camera and connected via usb is instead happily seen as a scsi device. What should I do?
