Unfortunately the Trident Cyberblade in the Presario laptop doesn't work with XFree86 3.x (even though it is listed as a supported chipset, I could only ever get it to work in 640x400x16 mode - and even that required some hacking; just using XF86Setup didn't do it). Anyway, I can kill some time writing a Synaptics touchpad driver; hopefully while I do that some X improvements will be made. With luck I may even be able to use my X on my laptop before it becomes redundant. 8-S -- Dr Graham Wheeler E-mail: gram@cequrux.com Director, Research and Development WWW: http://www.cequrux.com CEQURUX Technologies Phone: +27(21)423-6065 Firewalls/VPN Specialists Fax: +27(21)424-3656 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
