If so, then that is not what I'm doing. Yes, that's exactly what I meant. If you're not doing that, then i can't think why your /boot/loader.conf isn't being read. Um, wait... do you have /boot/defaults/loader.conf, which loads up /boot/loader.conf for you? Ciao, Sheldon.
