when i look in /dev i'm seeing lots of devices. like so.... ptyp0 - ptypv rad0 - rad0s4 rad1 - rad1s4 ttyp0 - ttyvb wfd0 - wfd0s4 fd1 - fd1h ( and a bunch like fd1.1200, fd1.1232, fd1.1440......) and more i didn't put. is this right? i'm running a custom kernel that basically just consists of GENERIC with the stuff i'm not using commented out. it don't recall seeing this many entries when i first looked in there a week or so ago. is it creating instances when i boot? i tried looking in the handbook and 'Unleashed' but couldn't find anything that seemed relevant. thanks for any help Dave To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
