Thank you for all of your input. With regard to my Windows 2000 vs. Linux experience: It was an interesting couple of months, but to be honest, Win2k w/ Exchange out-performed my Mandrake install with postfix. The hardware/connection was identical (i.e. same machine). Exchange's smtp was able to pass email on virtually instantly, whereas postfix (which was suppose to have less overhead than sendmail) would take about 10-15 seconds to process a message. Volume of mail (only 40-50 users) didn't affect performance, it just seemed to be stuck with the smtp delay. I very much appreciated the command line interface of Linux though, rather than all of Microsoft's poorly rendered icons (if they are going to habitually plagiarize others' work then they need to copy Apple's terrific graphic ability). I'm just simply tired of the MS game and need to move forward. It's too expensive. Again, thank you very much for your info--Henry __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
