I can't get my wi to work either. Didn't find debug.wi, but used:

kolbu# sysctl hw.wi.debug=3D2
hw.wi.debug: 0 -> 2

kolbu# ifconfig wi0 scan

If I bring the interface up and then scan again, ifconfig never return the
result, even though the log says "scan complete".
