I suggest the boundary limitations fix in 5.x be extended in the CVS tree to also include 4.x if possible ? (4.9 prerelease is mentioned on -stable). Background: With this cvs-cur.9400xEmpty.gz md5 5eb65d441f8b68e7cbb4174971124a62 438560115 bytes ctm -v /pri/FreeBSD/development/CTM/cvs-cur/cvs-cur.9400xEmpty.gz on 4.5-RELEASE & 4.8-RELEASE fails with /pri/FreeBSD/development/CTM/cvs-cur/cvs-cur.9400xEmpty.gz \ Fatal error: Bytecount too large. ( It wasn't my TMPDIR running short of space, partition for that directory had 3G free. ) 5.1-RELEASE works OK. ( It doesnt have the frequently increased MAXSIZE in /usr/src/usr.sbin/ctm/ctm/ctm.h but I guess someone who read this list knows what / where the fix is ? ) - Julian Stacey Freelance Internet Consultant & Systems Engineer, Muenchen.
