Have you been to the Freebsd web site ( http://www.freebsd.org )? The best place to look for answers to questions BEFORE you email these lists is this page, especially the Handbook, FAQ, and list archives. The answer to your question is at http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/install.html which is also linked to directly on the main page.
