You'll probably get harassed for not asking this
question on -questions. 

What version of FreeBSD? What version of XF86? What
kind of video card?

I found that using a Diamond Stealth III I couldn't
get XF86 3.3.6 (or KDE) to run with the proper screen
res. I upgrade to the latest release of XF86 and now
it works.
