I am trying to install 4.0-RELEASE on a Sony Vaio PCG-F490. I have a Netgear FA410TXC card. The PCCARD initialization part of the install asks about memory area and IRQ. I have tried all twelve combinations (four for the memory address and three for the IRQs), but the link lights on my connection do not come on. Is there anything I can do, perhaps at the boot prompt? It sounds as if people do have this card working with their laptops, so there must be a way... also, at what point in the process should the link lights come on for the ethernet connection? Also, is there anyway to get back to the pccard initialization portion of the install, without having to reboot kern.flp and mfsroot.flp? (And shouldn't the pccard initialization test to see if the link exists, if that is possible?) Thanks for any help...
