So you had: 3 disks as a RAID-Z1 called zroot 8 of 11 old disks as a RAID-Z3 called zroot And you booted and it selected the wrong zpool. Anyway, if you feel there is actually an issue here, can you describe it in more detail, as I am unclear how the installer is doing anything wrong.
