Out of the ether, Nate Puri spewed forth the following bitstream: > Can anyone, PLEASE tell me of a pcmcia modem that is > absolutely sure to work with 4.0? I'm really at a > loss here. I've tried so many. If someone could give a > particular brand and model number *asap* I'd really > appreciate it. I'm hitting against a deadline here. > Thanks... What types of failures have you seen, and what types of modems have you tried? I've used a Zoom V.90 (Model 2975L) and it works, but generates LOTS and LOTS of "interrupt-level buffer overflow" messages, even when running at "low" speeds, and does experience data loss ("ls -lR /" is a good test).
