You aren't running the latest release of FreeBSD and/or the latest xl driver, and you don't say what kind of hardware you have other than the fact that you have a 3c905B card. If you think that "Use Linux or Windows" is the proper fix for this, then go ahead and use them and leave us alone. Go try FreeBSD 3.2-RELEASE, or download the latest driver from http://www.freebsd.org/~wpaul/3Com/3.0.
