Can I install Free BSD on my Compaq Deskpro XL 5120 bought september 95 ? In the past I had some crashes (SCSI Time Out during installation) with different distributions of LINUX, due to the SCSI controller ("Pc-Net", made by AMD, reference AM79C..., integrated Fast SCSI-II and Ethernet controller on PCI bus). My system is equipped with two Hard-Disks on SCSI, a Plextor PXW4220 (SCSI) CDR recorder and an old (5 years) IOMEGA-Ditto Tape Backup (QIC-80) connected to the Floppy Controller.
