   Which is exactly what my friend told me when I was having trouble
installing FreeBSD...

   hostname:/tmp/FreeBSD -> path/to/the/middle/of/nowhere/FreeBSD

   where the long path didn't work in the installation dialog, hence
the reason for the symlink setup by a friend of mine.

   This wouldn't have worked if I couldn't follow his link.
