The following reply was made to PR ports/1060; it has been noted by GNATS. From: asami@cs.berkeley.edu (Satoshi Asami) To: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@freefall.freebsd.org, samorosh@marmot.cs.ucdavis.edu Cc: Subject: Re: ports/1060: xrisk port did not correctly set permis for binary on install Date: Wed, 6 Mar 1996 18:22:30 -0800 * see synopsis that is it, perms were set to 700 instead of 755 for the * xrisk binary after it had been installed in /usr/X11R6/bin * * * >How-To-Repeat: * * presumably, # make * # make install * # ls -l /usr/X11R6/bin/xrisk I tried this here, and it works fine. Looking at the compile/install log, it is using "cp" to install the executable. Maybe your umask is set to 077 or something? Satoshi
