I tried the mouse separate from X11, and it still doesn't work (I can't get a mouse cursor from moused). I was thining it was something speicifc from my usb mouse; i tried both ums0 and sysmouse, protocol Auto, no luck. My system is on net, and from anyone know on FreeBSD, i would be happy to allow net access for playing around with. it;s a new install, so you can risk a panic without worrying that I'll freak out on you. I don't have another riskable FreeBSD system to play with at the moment. > > Please assist. > Jerry > > /var/log/kdm.log: > ******************************************************************************** > Note that your system uses syslog.
